In the bakery people bake, celebrate, grill, meet and watch. Regional products from the Swabian Alb Biosphere Reserve, fresh bread and bread from the stone oven and delicacies from Köhler's kitchen (packed in cans) can be bought. On the garden terrace you can spend cozy hours in summer.
Every Sunday, the late bird breakfast takes place in the bakehous
Here you can hold your private party or come to the meeting. As a group event, we also recommend a cooking class with chef Alfons Köhler for 8 to 12 people.
The two-storey vaulted cellar under the original 19th-century building now serves as a wine and spirits cellar. For many years it was a storage cellar for home-brewed beer and later a storage facility for potatoes.

Bakery products
In the bakery, our bakers bake delicious, artisanal baked goods 2 times a week. Craftsmanship here actually means that each piece is shaped and prepared by hand. In addition, only regional flour from the miller Luz from Buttenhausen is used - we appreciate and live the principle of short distances. Then it goes into the Häußler stone oven and gets its crispy crust here.
You can always take freshly baked bread and wake-up bread home with you on Sundays and Wednesdays or enjoy it at the late bird breakfast or the hotel breakfast.

until 12 noon the day before (later on Arequest) you can pre-order your baked goods.

Late riser breakfast
Every Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. we welcome you to Köhler's bakery for our late bird breakfast. As a welcome drink of sparkling wine and then enjoy what your heart desires - sweet, savoury and egg dishes from the grill, plus fresh wakes from the stone oven. Coffee, tea, as well as juices and mineral water are of course part of a balanced breakfast.
On the teppanyaki grill in the bakery you can choose freshly cooked egg dishes such as scrambled or fried eggs, pancakes and bacon. There are also white sausages and pretzel sticks. Spectators are of course allowed.
Finally, help yourself to our sweet buffet with seasonal fruit, homemade jams, yoghurt, muesli and various seeds and seeds.

Our bakery has a story worth mentioning.

It was built as a brewery in the mid-19th century

Until 2011, the cellar, carved out of natural stone, was used as a storage area for potatoes and vegetables
Today the cellar serves as a wine cellar, the guest stable as a bakery and biosphere shop, the forecourt as a garden terrace and the hayloft eventgs and meeting room. During the renovation we have the old one The walls have been extensively restored and the former rafters have been transformed into rustic tables.
